Please see our most recent Ofsted report. HMI and Ofsted inspectors visited the school on the 20th and 21st November 2018. They had the opportunity to visit lessons, talk to children and read through books.
Inspectors were very impressed with our school and have made some lovely comments about the special things we have done... please take the time to read through the whole report...
Here are some highlights though:
The highly aspirational headteacher and senior leadership team hold high expectations for all. They lead by example and successfully inspire their staff to give of their best. Morale in the school is high, reflecting the positive culture that is evident across the school.
The strength of the curriculum lies in its capacity to capture pupils’ imagination and engage them in interesting topics. Pupils come to school excited to learn,
The personal development and welfare of pupils are outstanding. The school gives considerable attention to ensuring that pupils are safe and develop the mental strength and resilience they need to be successful.--
The Forest School makes a considerable contribution to pupils’ learning and provides an enriching experience for all.
Parents who expressed their opinion hold the school in high esteem. Their written responses reflect senior leaders’ commitment to community leadership.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our amazing staff at Stephenson for the work they do on a day to day basis and the community that continue to support and champion our school.
